Response to postcard mailing

It's January 15, 2009, and I have three prospects from my postcard mailings. I'm hoping that something comes from that. I've renewed my free classified ads again, and hope that will also bring people to my website. I continue to go through my course materials for becoming a certified media placement specialist through Mary Gersten's Cash Flow Network, and am absorbing lots of information and helpful tips on how to expand my advertising base. This is essential for internet home-based businesses, and I'm very optimistic that things will continue to pick up.

As for my recent pet care tips, I'm trying to find a way to keep my cat - TC- from drinking out of the humidifier when I take the canister off to fill with fresh water. I try and distract him with a toy, or a special brushing/combing session. My baby boy also wants me to stand over him and pet him by his food dish, while he eats. Does he have me trained, or what? Both TC and Sweetie want to go out on the deck, but with the frigid weather and the snow cover, they generally just stand at the door, with their heads out for a few seconds and then decide it is best to not venture out. On the radio the other day, I heard that if you put vaseline on the dog's or cat's paw pads, that that will help insulate from the snow, and also help keep any salt from between their toes. I don't know if it actually works, but it makes sense, and is easier than trying to put "booties" on them before they go outside. I don't let my cats outside, except for the deck in the nice weather, but I do know that dogs need to go out for walks and to take care of their needs. If the vaseline works, please let me know.

Working at home is easy, but it does take time.

The first week of 2009 is already over, but I'm just starting to warm up with my work-at-home business opportunity. I have 750 more mailers to send out now, and will most likely request more for next month. I'm also using classifiedsforfree.com to advertise my website, as well as placing an ad in the local Lake County, Illinois News Sun newspaper. I also signed up with Stamps.com to print out postage from home, which is also very convenient. This is especially true, with all the snow that we have been having here in Northern Illinois, near the Wisconsin state border. If you need a lot of postage at one time, be sure that you have a fast printer, otherwise, it takes quite a while to print out the sheets of stamps, altough the quality is good.
Make sure you have a good supply of printer ink on hand, so you don't have to run to the store in the middle of the stamps printing session. However, its easier than having to go to post office all the time.

That's it for now, I've got to get my postcards ready to mail.

Happy New Year for Home-based business opportunities

Happy New Year for 2009, which is going to be divine. So far, I've got two prospects through my home-based business which hopefully will turn into some actual cash. I've advertised in my local newspaper for my website, and have at least one person that responded. I also sent out 750 postcards last month, and got one person to respond to that medium. I'm going to send out more postcards this month, as well as to probably renew the newspaper ad for my home-based business, in order to get my website out there for people to see. I've also signed up with classifiedsforfree.com, and only have to renew the ad weekly. I'm learning more and more about media placement everyday, and just need more hours in a day to read all the important information there is about how to maximize my profits for my home-based business. It is a learning curve, but I'm willing to invest the time and effort it takes to actually make a go of this new venture. My cats love having me at home, and now with the holidays over, I can make more time to focus on my home-based business.

2008 was great, but 2009 will be just fine.
